Glandwr Cottage Holiday Cottage

Thoughts of Pembrokeshire cottages evoke many different beautiful images. When you first land at Glandwr Cottage you’ll immediately feel at home at a West Wales holiday cottage that feels like it’s part of the perfect picture postcard.

Set on the banks of the River Nevern, this Grade II Listed farmhouse combines traditional aesthetics with opulent luxury in terms of the appliances, fixtures and fittings at hand for guests to make the most of. An enclosed 1.5-acre garden is the perfect spot to fire up the BBQ and bring your family and friends together for a lovely evening. Why not take a stroll together through the network of magical riverside walks, or head out to the nearby coastal pathways that are so famous the world over.

The private winding driveway into the property is stunning, with the renovated farmhouse secluded and in a luxurious setting, welcoming you immediately. The wooded valley and farmland sits aside the River Nevern at the edge of your private garden. The entrance is found through the renovated stable door, through a tiled hallway and into the property. A fully fitted modern farmhouse style kitchen sits on the ground floor, with a utility room also within easy reach of the front door. We want your stay to be as comfortable as possible and you’ll feel that as you enter the stable door. A large open-plan sitting and dining room is the heartbeat of the farmhouse, with a 12-seater solid oak dining table providing a spectacular and elegant centrepiece. Large and comfortable sofas next to an inglenook fireplace provide a comfy area to retire to post-dinner. Locally sourced antiques and art complement the aesthetic throughout the property. A second sitting room provides garden and river views with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Four spacious bedrooms can be found upstairs, with touches of home comforts throughout.

Staying at one of the most idyllic Pembrokeshire cottages available you’ll feel recharged and completely rejuvenated after a stay at Glandwr Cottage. Right on the doorstep of the farmhouse itself you’ve got access to the banks of the River Nevern, where you can fish, or walk along, with woodland close by. Nature buffs will love the chance to spot a healthy selection of birds and wildlife all around them, from kingfishers and herons, to woodpeckers and the possibility of red squirrels in the woodland. A private enclosed garden is perfect to sit back and relax with family and friends, utilising your very own herb trough to use with the meats on the barbecue. Newport is just 2 miles away with a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, and the golden beaches at Newport Sands is inviting all year round The village of Nevern about 20 minutes away on foot, providing a quiet and traditional backdrop.
